What do you say after it's been so long, you're weary of this season in your life, you're not sure if you ever really want to blog again (but some people would enjoy it if you would, like hubby, mom and sister, and you could imagine finding joy in it again ;-), you're perimenopausal, you feel raw and are just trying to survive, and can't see what's around the next corner?
I think it would all sound like one long whine, and I don't know who wants to read that.
Beautiful sunlight streaming into our woods and yard recently.
Karl began his new job three months ago and comes home for the weekends (our 135 lb. Redbone Coonhound stands watch over the house in Karl's absence). The house listed nearly two months ago and continues to attract traffic, and we've had some contracts that didn't work out for various reasons (controlled grimace).
Exploring in our creek down the hill.
There are fresh flowers and birthdays and children running and playing and meals and laundry and getting ready for house showings and loading the dog into the back of the vehicle for each one.
These red-dyed sunflowers make me smile every time I look at them.
And baby ring necked snakes and moths that match dark spots in beech tree bark and all the other normal stuff that makes up this life.
Baby snake (which I picked up), moth (unidentified), Ben lounging with Pepper,Maggie sewing on Nana's machine which she brought when she came to visit.
If I can find breathing space, I'll be back. I'd like to clean and freshen up the blog, unless real life intervenes. Until then, blessings to you and yours.
Kathy, you can add me to the list of people who would be glad for you to return to blogging! But I understand the concept of different seasons in life that demand different things of us. So when you do post, I will be here, eager to hear what you have to say...and thankful that we can continue our friendship through the modern world of communications!
Love the pictures of your home and children and pets. My heart goes out to you as you are waiting and waiting and waiting for things to settle into place and doing so with Karl far away. Praying for His timing!

I can TOTALLY relate! After 6mo of non-blogging, I've found I really do miss catching up with my homeschool/bloggity friends. Hang in there!
Grace in the journey,
Melissa

Melissa, I emailed you but it bounced back, so I must have gotten the address wrong. Thank so much for providing your new blog site here! I don't want to lose touch with you. :-)

So glad you have started blogging again. I am so inspired by your posts. It is like you are still in Salisbury and we can chat over cups of coffee and muffins like we used to at the CM meetings.
We are praying for a buyer for your house. Maybe you will be all settled next time we get to Frederick to visit Dan's parents- we would love to see you guys again.
Blessings
Jodi

Oh girl, I so understand how you feel. I'm in that weary place too and I haven't blogged since forever. I just can't stand the thought of writing something that would be totally depressing anyway.
I can easily feel overcome with the state of affairs in general (our world) and I know full-well to keep my eyes on Him but I have to remind myself of that daily!
Please know that there is a "someone else" out there who fully understands. Let's press forward....one day at a time....together!
